Grade 12 students from LCCS visited the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute in Addis Ababa.
Scientists from the institute walked the students through their work: the stored seed and specimen collections, the laboratories and the cold storage rooms where Ethiopia's plant genetic resources are kept, and how that work protects the country's biodiversity.
Visits like this one connect what students learn in biology and chemistry with real science in Ethiopia.
